BRAGGING LADS, THE: Half-Empty: LP

This band has a big ’90s sound. They do it well. “Not the One” builds from a brood to a chorus with some big Epitaph-sounding guitar riffs. The singer’s voice sells the sincerity of a solid ’90s chorus. “Anyhow” picks up the pace a bit. The drummer inserts well-placed hardcore speed riffs in the right place. It’s not my thing, but it’s well executed. If you’re into Lagwagon or Avail this would probably appeal to you. –Billups Allen (Collision Course)
