Crazy that Jack Rabid is still churning this out eighty-nine issues in. I remember as a kid in the ’80s getting the early stapled issues. Times have a changed a lot since then with it becoming a real “magazine” rather than a “zine.” Along with the expanded format has come a much broader coverage leaning heavily into the indie rock world more than the punk stuff. Always a great read, this one has the continued Dinosaur Jr interview as well as the continued Butthole Surfers, along with the likes of The Chills, Sparks, La Luz, Slow Crush, Thala, Traitrs and more. All of the interviews are really in depth and well thought out (as you would expect after eighty-nine issues) along with a stacked review section that pulls no punches.
