Mid-paced ’77 style punk with slick production and lots of bravado. If this recording sounded generally—for lack of a better term, more shitty—and if everything was just slightly more primitive sounding, this might be somewhere in the ballpark of the US Bombs or something similar. Unfortunately, the production values on this record detract from the energy and this ultimately makes this come across like a pop record in a street punk wrapper. The songs are anthemic and every backup vocal “woaaah” is executed perfectly… a little too perfectly. There’s certainly an audience for this kind of punk record, I suppose… safe, clean, and un-offensive. –Mark Twistworthy (Wanda, wandarecords.de, [email protected])
