BAD VIBRATIONS, THE: Self-titled: 7”

This single takes cues from both vintage ’60s garage rock and ’70s power pop to create a raw mix of tuneful vocal melodies and buzzing guitars, seemingly influenced by some of the most revered Nuggets-style gems. In the same way that the Paisley Underground scene inspired bands in early ’80s Los Angeles like The Pandoras and The Bangles to incorporate the sounds of early, raw garage with ’60s psychedelia and punk elements into their sound, the Bad Vibrations land somewhere in that same radius: bouncy and fun, addicted to fuzz. –Mark Twistworthy (Red Hawk, [email protected])
