For our third outing about town, there are labels, artwork, and, of course, plenty of bands. The first row starts off with a hand-painted Leeway leather jacket the wearer says is about thirty years old. Next up are studs, studs, studs. We finish off with some trippy black metal artwork (artist unknown). Row two has a print design by Fennec (www.fennecdesign.com), a hand-painted upside-down cross by the wearer, and—to show the diversity of punk shows in NYC—someone wearing a backpatch for hip hop record label Death Row Records. Our last row contains the Black Sabbath-inspired The Devil’s Blood with a “destroy everything” top/bottom rocker, California death metal thrashers Gravehill, and it ends with experimental Arizona post-punks Sun City Girls.
