YOLKS, THE: Self-titled: LP

I was sold when I looked at the cover—a line drawing of the band and their equipment careening past the Elston Avenue Morton Salt building in a shitty sedan. The music sure didn’t let down either: good-natured, poppy garage rock with ‘50s rock‘n’roll melodies and some British Invasion snot. Just when the fuzz and buzz starts to get monotonous, they throw in a little old school rhythm and blues or country. What else is there to say? The Yolks are no joke!
