When all’s said and done, Violent Bullshit is a hardcore band and all the tropes associated with that genre are in full evidence. They are, however, bright enough to temper all the throat-shredding vocals, howling angry lyrics, and the high-velocity tempos with off-the-beaten-path rhythms and odd time signatures so things don’t become one big, boring blur. Not sure if or how they’d manage to pull it off over the course of an LP, but they more than handily do so here.
