Another year and another volume in Duane Peters’ series of punk comps. The twenty-seven tracks are, of course, heavy on the punk’n’roll and “1977 revisited” sides of the fence, but those bands that manage to deviate from those molds are the one’s that contribute the most memorable tracks. Personal favorites here include The Insaints’ “Care On,” the Hollowpoints’ still-amazing (‘twas previously featured last year on a Dirtnap comp) “POW,” Monster Squads’ thrash attack on “FTS” and, of course, the Briefs’ two contributions to the party.
