Up The Empire play modern power-pop that sounds like a lot of other stuff that seems popular on college radio nowadays.(Yerp, I guess I am an old fogey…) Some of it has that trendy retro ‘80s disco backbeat, and there are shades of indie rock about it. It’s not bad, but didn’t give me heart palpitations.
