Double disc of late ‘80s/early ‘90s recordings from this Delaware, Ohio band. With one foot planted firmly in the roots rock revival of the time and one foot on what has recently become known as “folk punk,” this would likely be appealing to many readers of this magazine. Anyone who is a fan of early Against Me!, Plan-It-X Records, or the Drag The River/Lucero wing of the punk rock retirement plan would probably really dig Ugly Stick. Hints of the Replacements and Uncle Tupelo can be heard here as well, which is not a surprise given the 1989 and 1991 release dates of the two albums.
