I had the misfortune of living in Springfield, Missouri for a year once. What a shitty town. The buckle of the Bible Belt. Both bands on this split reside there. Trixies and the Merch Girls play lazy acoustic stuff with some female backing vocals. Mellow and uninspiring. The Jim Jims bore me as well. One song is crappy slop pretending to be dirty rock and roll. The other song is a simple punk song that a twelve year-old could write. It’s a waste of good vinyl if you ask me.
