TOUCH: Self-titled: 7”

Jun 14, 2014

Touch, who are also sometimes referred to as Touch Of North America (Shellac reference, check) are a noisy Detroit hardcore band. But, what sets them apart from any other run-of-the-mill hardcore band from the Midwest is that these songs have hooks! I could easily see them sharing a bill with bands like Hammerhead/Vaz, Young Widows, or even maybe the previously mentioned Shellac. There’s a ‘90s vibe running through this at times as well, with some parts alternating between softer vocals, changing to chaotic screamy parts, and then riffing out on a Melvins-ish heavy jam for a bit. Good stuff, recommended.
