TIL’ DEATH: 3808: CD

Apr 27, 2009

Loose concept record honoring a fallen brother in L.A. in what seems like a senseless situation. I won’t reveal all the liner notes in this forum. Street level punk with enough edge to make it actually listenable. “Hard City Blues” sports a nice guitar solo while “Fist Pack” delivers a wallop as promised. I was really excited to hear the tenth song, thinking it was a love letter to their favorite band, Static Radio. But I was sorely mistaken. If there were ten percent less ska riffs on this ones (i.e. zero), I would really spout some more exclamations about this record. Still a solid release in the end.
