The main riff of the opener, “Assneck,” is a variation on Sabbath’s “Hole in the Sky,” track three is a cover of Kiss’ “Deuce,” track seven is a cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World,” and the rest falls squarely within those parameters. Sound is heavy, sludgy, and catchy enough to no doubt garner ‘em a wider audience than, say, Eyehategod could’ve ever dreamed, even with two tunes clocking in on the ugly side of eighteen minutes.
