I don't know if this is fitting, but this is what I would have pictured if Corrosion of Conformity became a grindcore band or a band that added grindcore elements. On the first song, "Fallen Hand," they reminded me of COC before they go into the blast beats of noise aggression. That sound is dispersed throughout their songs. These recordings have a dirtiness that I like. They have an almost live quality to them-rough around the edges and not exactly perfect-and more in tune with punk than metal. If this had come out during the crossover period of the mid to late '80s, this would be on everybody's want list.
