This album contains some well-written power pop with a heavy New York ‘77 influence in the guitar playing. The heavier distortion brings it away from the lighter side of power pop, but the album never quite gets into full-on rockin’ territory. Riding the middle line doesn’t serve the band well, but they make up for it with some strong songwriting. “Talk” and “Put You Right Back” have well constructed choruses with strong back ups. The band is good with choruses overall. It’s a catchy record when it gets rolling.
