There are a few moments where Smooth Brain sound like they’re covering a Cleveland Bound Death Sentence song—that same kind of grit and scrappiness, though Smooth Brain are slower and don’t crackle with nearly the same kind of exuberance and energy. Not really my cup, as it were.
