SIDETRACKED: Wrench: Cassette

This is some pretty damn good music! Crunchy hardcore crossing Infest with East Coast burl. The blown-out recording sounds live and adds to the raw energy. Quick, urgent blasts that are over in a matter of seconds. I like the rattley low end of the bass—how it tends to dominate the sound—and how the drums sound busted to hell and back. Vocals are delivered in a desperate and rabid attack, heightening the intensity of their style. “Severed,” which closes this out, is a total rager that has a catchy riff comparable to Black Flag. I neeeedsssss to hear more!!!
