Standard hardcore fare, but it sounds like it was recorded on a boombox in a basement. This is one of those bands which need a bit of production value to bring everything together. The tunes are good, but it sounds like the instruments and vocals are compartmentalized; if they were to blend together a bit more, Section 802 could have a much fuller sound that would kick me in the gut. “El Carajo” was really neat, though; it sounded like hardcore done over a Bach fugue. And it sells for four bucks on the label’s website, certainly a plus.
