Rum Lad is a comic zine by Steve Larder of Nottingham sludge metal band Moloch. Larder’s art is varied and frenetic. His cover resembles Paul Pope’s high contrast, nearly realistic style, while his interior art is cartoonish and playful. This issue covers the Moloch/Cloud Rat Summer U.K. Tour. It’s fun and brief, just as a good comic zine should be. Steve Larder is someone I’m now going to watch alongside Kevin Czap and Emi Gennis.
