This cassette is so grizzly. I’m moved to say it rips. This is up-tempo hardcore with femme vocals, complete with fuzzed-out screams and riffs. Reminds me a little of fellow Californians Mika Miko, but less poppy and angrier. There’s even one long track, which drags itself forward under the singer’s able moans, á la Flipper. Punk is done best when it gives voice to exasperation without being, itself, exasperating. Mozart delivers.
