M.O.T.O.’s been around long enough to be long-forgotten if they were a mere parody or joke band (they’ve been around since about 1981 and if you see the Bolt LP in the racks, it’s a keeper). Sure, they’re goofy as hell but their blend of pop sensibilities slapped and dashed against many a punk rock always makes me smile. Sweet fuck, “Wind It Out” reminds me of Cat Stevens and I’m singing along to it. I don’t know if I should put the gun to my head or shoot it up in the air in jubilation.
