Solo album by the bassist of the Moonhearts. Cronin plays most of the instruments on most of the songs, calling in friends for drums on some of the tunes (Ty Segall, Charlie Moonheart). Some of the more frantic songs are not unlike Ty Segall, but the majority is more pop and layered. Some songs are sad; some are about the existential crises we all face as our twenties progress. “Gone” is my pick for best song. Dig the Jethro Tull-like flute jam at the end of “Is It Alright”!
