When the Goddamn Gallows come to town, be prepared to party! They are an incredibly entertaining self-described punk/bluegrass/metal band “with a touch of satan.” With songs like “Ya’ll Motherfuckers Need Jesus” and “Pass Me the Bottle,” they never fail to provide a rowdy, all around good time.
Pictured here is Avery, the band’s accordion and washboard player. Over the past couple of years catching their shows, he has become one of my favorite people to photograph. I’m a sucker for an accordion, but add all the crazy facial expressions, long dreads flying around, and wild stage antics—I never want to put my camera down!
