I so wanted to like this. I still have a soft spot for new wave pop from my childhood. But it just didn’t capture the free spirit of the early ‘80s. A little over produced for my liking? Not sure, but the remake of “Johnny Are you Queer?” sure didn’t stand up to the original recording.
