Interview Podcast with Bob Suren: By Matt Average and Todd Taylor
Bob Suren has worn many hats within the punk scene over the years: zine editor, musician, and running his own record store and mailorder, Sound Idea. I thought it would be a good idea to sit Bob down in front of the mic at the Razorcake bunker when he was in town doing appearances at various record stores in the Southland for his book Crate Digger: An Obsession with Punk Records. Despite the title of the book—which is not specifically about records—it is more about life and the experiences he had around the time he acquired any particular piece of vinyl, from complete involvement to re-evaluating everything when faced with loss.
