Oh my god, I can’t believe how hard Ictus bring it. They’re a Spanish crust band and their side of the 12” is one song entitled “Sed de Venganza” (“Thirst of Revenge”) and it takes up their entire side. It’s soooo long and soooo good. Ictus’ one song completely overshadows Norway’s This Thing Called Dying’s six songs of crusty hardcore punk. It’s still pretty good, but it can’t step to “Sed de Venganza.” It appears that four different record labels from four different countries had a hand in releasing this record, which kinda makes sense ‘cause it comes in a totally pro gatefold jacket with quality artwork and lyrics printed in three or four languages. When it comes to crust with me, you have to do two things: musically, it has to be intense the whole way through, and the artwork has to be apocalyptic as fuck. This release goes above and beyond that.
