I’ve had this record for a day and it’s almost worn out already. City Mouse renewed my love for pop punk. The band just hits the bull’s-eye with lyrics that offer so much beyond what’s at surface level, together with a willingness to drive the music forward and not linger, forcing you instead to go back and listen again. It never gets bouncy or jangly or annoying even when “whoa-oh”-ing. Also, does Cristy Road from the Homewreckers sound like a grown up version of Angelica from Rugrats?
