HÖLLEY 750: Prison Rules: CD

May 18, 2010

Denver’s Hölley 750 plays brutal bar punk. Not a joke band per se, but with tongue planted firmly in cheek, they proceed rough and tumble style. They’re kind of like the legendary Kansas-based Confederacy of Scum band Cocknoose, replacing the country influence with a dash of metallic hardcore. There’s a lot to like on Prison Rules, including the surprisingly clever fantasy lyrics about drugs, crime, and sleazy women. See them play at a venue that allows smoking for full effect.
