Heavy on catchy bits, Glitz’s guitarist pulls from a broad library of power pop riffs with Glitterbest-era glam thrown in occasionally. The whole band is tight, but the guitar playing is dense with skillfully crafted, ‘80s-sounding pop riffs. It creates a great backdrop for classic sounding choruses like “(She) Don’t Listen to Music.” There are lots of well placed “yeah”s. “Sugar” is a standout for me. It contains the line: “Don’t care what the teachers say.” People discovering The Records or The Quick should look out for this one.
