I’m not sure this album would appeal to many Razorcake readers, unless they, like me, harbor a semi-secret love for earnest indie pop. Unlikely. This album contains lots of pretty harmonies, catchy tunes, a few “wooo oooo”s thrown in for good measure. The kind of songs that creep up on you and get stuck in your head for days. The boys in Gertie Fox know what they’re doing, but if you’re reading this magazine chances are you won’t really care about that. Me, I’m going to crawl under the covers and put this album on my headphones when I’m feeling the melancholy Canadian winter seeping in.
