A step back here from the more “rock” direction of their previous release and a return of sorts to the melodic punk that’s been the staple of Doug’s bands since forever. The songs here are top notch, the hooks infectious and are so stuffed to the gills with that pitch perfect blend of “sugar oi” and early ‘80s L.A./OC hardcore that, at times, they veer very close to sounding like Bad Religion in all the best ways possible. Kinda bummed this came in September, ‘cause every damned track is prime summer listening material.
