FOX JAPAN: Reenactment: CD

Quirky is probably an adjective that gets used to describe West Virginia’s Fox Japan, especially in regards to their lyrics. Many of the tracks delve into story-telling affairs (“Glen Beck” and “An Apocalypse” are especially humorous examples) but the music is unimpressive indie rock. It all seems pretty standard fare, including the occasionally awkwardly strained vocals. Besides the unusual lyrics, though, there’s not much here that really grabbed me and caused me to want to repeatedly listen to Reenactment.
