This is a music fanzine that focuses on some of the older bands in the scene like Agent Orange, Instant Agony, and former Rank And File guitar player, Alejandro Escovedo. The interview with Alejandro is kind of funny, because although he has over thirteen records since Rank And File, he was only asked questions about “the old days.” I could feel his frustration and could tell he hasn’t had much of a connection to underground punk rock for a long time, which is fine—he’s an excellent guitar player and can do what he wants. I haven’t read an Agent Orange interview in a long time and Mike’s enthusiasm for keeping the band going is infectious. Failsafe is a good read, but there have been a lot of great bands since the early 1980s. –Steve Hart (63 Milton St., Derby, DE223PA, UK)
