Competent keyboard-driven pop/rock. Inherently I find this more charming than other bands that use a similar formula because of the vinyl warmth that carries through the music. Don’t be fooled, this is classic rock, full throttle. The Who, Jethro Tull, that sort of thing. Empty Palace echoes that better part of that genre, but whether that’s worth the effort is a matter of debate. Grade: B-.
