If someone asked me to name two bands that you would never see on a split single, I’d have to say that there is a good chance that Discharge and Off With Their Heads would be on the list. That is part of what makes this record so great. The other part is the tunes. While I can never profess to being a diehard Discharge fan, I like them enough to know that they’re still keeping it real. Angry and political forever. The flip side is what really gets me going, though. Off With Their Heads (with Mike Watt on bass and Jimmy from Toys That Kill on drums this time out) playing a song written by Bill from The Beltones. The result comes off sounding like the best Stiff Little Fingers’ song you’ve never heard. I love it!
