Total headscratcher. Songs run the gamut from hackneyed spooky rock to turgid straight edge anthems. Plus, the vocalist sounds like the bastard son of Jello Biafra and Dance with Me-era Jack Grisham. Releases like this remind me of why I often do not believe the post ‘90s explosion of inexpensive recording mediums to necessarily be a good thing for popular music.
