It started out as Pointless Fest, a weekend celebrating birthdays and good bands. Eventually, the annual gathering became known as Philly Fest. Organized by Greg Daly and Tony Pointless, mid-August at the Unitarian Church in Philadelphia was a gathering hot spot for some of the best hardcore, punk, and crust bands from around the world. In many ways, it was sort of like a punk rock family reunion. In 2005 San Francisco’s Look Back And Laugh played an absolutely explosive set.
