In 1990 bands didn’t tour the way they do now, and it was a big deal when a band crossed the coast. In NYC we had the Lunachicks; in L.A. there was L7. What I remember most about this show was how excited the Lunachicks were that they were going to get to play with L7, and how stoked I was to see both bands together. It was a hell of a night of girl-powered rock. I’m not sure if they would have played it that night, but “Shove” is one of my all-time favorite songs.
