Based out of Providence, RI, Drop Dead are one of the all-time greatest hardcore bands. Caustic, biting, fast, and brutal political hardcore, they’ve been delivering short, fast, and loud blasts for nearly twenty-five years. Back in the early ‘90s they were regularly at shows in NYC and I’ve seen them play more times than I can count; including many times when we traveled out of NYC, like the time I took this photo at The Tune Inn. More recently, I’ve seen them at festivals across the country from Texas to Philadelphia. Drop Dead are awesome dudes. They still give back to the scene and still champion a strong animal rights message. “At the Cost of an Animal” is a classic—you should go listen to it now. Much respect to Drop Dead for “keeping it real” all these years later!
