In the early ‘90s, most of the punks in New York City barely knew where Pittsburgh was, but Aus Rotten was one of the bands that changed that and connected the scenes in a unifying way. Pittsburgh is where I got my feet wet as a young punk, and, to this day, I refer to Pittsburgh as my “heart city.”  Through many line-ups and internal band changes the dudes in Aus Rotten are among some of my favorite people and best friends to this day. I feel lucky to have seen Aus Rotten countless times in many places—and to have walked side by side with them—as they have gone down in punk history as one of the best and most important anarcho-punk bands of all times.
