Body Futures, at their best play, straight forward power pop with strong female vocals. Cheap Trick with Chrissie Hynde. At their worst, Body Futures play frazzled, over-complicated rock that is less memorable than No Doubt. Brand New Silhouettes starts out strong, but takes an all too soon turn to forgettable late ‘90s radio fodder. If it was a record full of “Hooks and Eyes,” I’d be a fan. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to take a hard pass.
