The Beginner’s Mynd is a D.C. outfit that gives good retro. This single follows the band’s full-length cassette release with two solid janglers of the ‘60s persuasion. The songs are heavy with Byrds-inspired harmonies, sharp organs, and sun-on-the-blacktop guitar chords. The songs are thoughtful and well produced. Both are psych pop tempo and loaded with Beatles-isms. It’s a corker if you’re into seeing colors.
