It’s almost astonishing to think about how many different types of music fall under the umbrella of “hardcore.” I knew before hearing it that Anal Warhead would be playing a more fatalistic, spikes and mohawks style, and I wasn’t wrong. Fortunately, they do it well. I’d much rather listen to the “nuclear holocaust, kill the pigs” scene than see some joker in a basketball jersey up there calling himself “hawdcoa”. This sense of bleak depression somehow makes me a little happy.
