97-SHIKI: Self-titled: Cassette

Quirky. That’s the only word I could come up with in describing this band’s sound. But I hope you’re not thinking about bands like System Of A Down or Primus. No, this is the good kind of quirky. The musicianship is keen. Very tight. But nothing too flashy either. Imagine if Botch or Daughters laid off the heaviness and instead took up a strict diet of Jesus Lizard. Pro quality cassette and packaging, to boot. Great stuff.
