#406 with Kurt Morris: Razorcake Podcast
Another grammar-themed podcast, this time focused on ellipses. Here are some fun facts about each band.
Fugue—As featured in issue #90 of Razorcake!
Coliseum—Ryan Patterson, the singer/guitarist, also played in Automatic, The Enkindels, and Black Cross, amongst others.
In The Face Of War—They’re the only good thing to ever come out of Kokomo, Indiana.
Phoenix Bodies—Sometimes the two singers in the band would perform naked.
The Now—I punched a wall when I first listened to this band.
Youth Brigade—There are two bands with this name: one from LA and one from DC. This is the DC one.
Whippersnapper—In a review I described their sound as “meshing a mullet and a sleeveless shirt with a mystic wolf on it to the harmonies and progressive guitar stylings of Southern California punk.”
Owls—This band is Cap’n Jazz minus one of the guitarists.
Jawbreaker—In an interview I once asked Adam, the drummer, if he was my dad. (He is not.)
AFI—This song is from their pre-goth phase.
Boysetsfire—This is from their first EP, before they got bad.
Neurosis—This band is beloved by both metal fans and crusty punks. If anyone can explain why that is, please let me know.
