#368 with Kurt Morris: Razorcake Podcast
Part two of my trilogy of podcasts dedicated to punctuation! This time I’m playing songs with exclamation points in the song title! In my own writing I tend to use exclamation points sparingly! I find they’re best reserved for adding emphasis on a particular situation, especially in dialogue by a character who may often be rather passive! You can really sense the anger or excitement in those instances! Younger writers often have a tendency to utilize the exclamation point much too often, rendering it somewhat meaningless! Perhaps everyone should be given an allotted use of exclamation points to use each day! Then they’d be employed less often and more effectively!
