The touchstone here is fuzzy, blown-out, garagey punk rock. That in and of itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but there’s also a wicked deadly streak of pop veining through, anchoring what could easily turn into a noisy slog to some great chorus-hooks. The end results are songs that are propulsive and catchy, like gleefully humming while swinging slabs of heavy concrete. Good stuff throughout. –Jimmy Alvarado (Goner)
