BBQT is definitely in the vein of the Runaways, so no complaints here. Tough as nails—that only slightly pierces—with restraint. Two songs definitely leave me wanting more. Baltimore babes, for sure. Flip to Appaloosa, it’s all fuzzy surf, and not unlike La Luz as far as weaving overlying guitar melodies, but with less ethereal vocals. Straightforward and shouty with a Briscoe Hay drawl.
