Am take the jerking, shifting, yet driving rhythms you’ll find on a Slint album, but cut down the song lengths to a half or a quarter the size. This makes for a swift hardcore record that’s as raging and visceral as it is intelligent and compelling. The lyrics—sung in Polish (with English translation in the liner notes)—deal with emotional malaise and anguish, the struggle of existence in the modern world, and the will to survive it. These verses remind me of Nietzsche in the way they talk of ascension, overcoming, and finding personal strength within. Recommended for when you want the braininess of post-hardcore but the brevity hardcore. –Craven Rock (Wkurw Punk)
